Amazon

From 24th Avenue to 30th Avenue and Amazon Park to Agate Street. The neighborhood includes the historic Masonic Cemetery, old trolley lines and some of the oldest homes in the area. Amazon Park is one of the largest parks in Eugene and contains the Amazon Trail (1 mile), which has become very popular with walkers and joggers. The Amazon public pool is another very popular part of the park and is enjoyed by hundreds of children and adults during the summer months.

Bethel-Danebo

The Bethel community has seen amazing growth in the past ten years and is bounded on the east by Hwy 99; on the south by the Southern Pacific Railroad; on the west by Green Hill Rd; and on the north by Clear Lake.

Cal Young

A large neighborhood which includes Valley River Center (VRC) to the west, The Register Guard Newspaper, near I-5, to the east, North to the McKenzie River, and South to the Willamette River. The area is considered suburban and includes and includes single-family dwellings, apartments, retirement communities and multi-family residences such as condominiums.

Churchill

The Churchill neighborhood is approximately 4 square miles, encompassing residential, commercial, and some industrial areas. It contains eight parks and a large portion of the West Eugene Wetlands area. It has approximately 14,000 people, which is just close to 9% of the total Eugene population.

College Hill

College Hill is comprised of everything between Willamette Street and Friendly Street between 18th and 29th. The neighborhood consists of mainly single-family homes in a quiet setting. Many of the homes have views overlooking parts of Eugene. The college of “College Hill” refers to the former location of Columbia University, which was located on the northeast portion of College Hill.

Crest Drive

Crest Drive neighborhood constitutes the geographic area outlined by the City of Eugene. From approximately 29th on the north; Willamette St. on the east; Chambers on the west; and the urban growth boundary to the south. This is a neighborhood that’s considered part of south Eugene.

Downtown

Basically anything within a 10-minute walk of Broadway Plaza. The area includes much of the Downtown Neighborhood Association except for the Skinner Butte Historic District area, which is part of the Whiteaker neighborhood.

Fairmount

The Fairmount neighborhood includes a portion of the U of O campus, north of Franklin Street.  Some points of interest are Hendricks Park and the Laurelwood. The area is encompassed by Glenwood on the east; 30th Ave. on the south; Agate St. on the west and the Willamette River bike path beyond Franklin St. on the north side.

Far West

The Far West neighborhood is comprised of approximately 3000 households. The boundaries run from Chambers Street on the east; to Oakpatch / City View on the west; 6th on the north and to 18th / 24th on the south. The area contains a mix of residential and commercial properties. neighborhood has a wide variety of people and businesses.

Friendly

The Friendly neighborhood is an almost entirely residential area of southwest Eugene. The area is named for Friendly Street, which bisects the neighborhood from North to South. The street is the namesake of Sam Friendly, a much-loved 19th-century Mayor of Eugene, Oregon.

Harlow

The Harlow neighborhood is located near the northeast corner of Eugene, OR.  It is bordered on the north by Beltline Hwy, which wraps around the north and west sides of Eugene; on the east by Interstate-5; on the south by the Willamette River and Alton Baker park; on the west side by Coburg Road.

Jefferson Westside

A city recognized neighborhood for the portion of Eugene bounded by 7th Ave on the north, 18th Ave. on the South, Chambers St. on the west and Willamette St. and Lawrence St. on the east and thus contains the Lane County Fairgrounds. The area includes many businesses, single-family and multi family dwellings.

Laurel Hill

The Laurel Hill Valley is located east of Hendricks Park and the Fairmount neighborhood. It is an area with a unique rural character within the city limits and the UGB. Laurel Hill Valley Citizens is Eugene's oldest neighborhood organization, and was first chartered by the City Council in 1974. The area enjoys easy access to I-5 and the University of Oregon area.

Santa Clara and River Road Community

With a population of approximately 29,000 residents, River Road and Santa Clara represents an unusual patchwork of City and unincorporated land. Currently, Santa Clara contains 40% of the cities residents and River Road holds 30% of the cities (Eugene) residents, and the numbers continue to grow with new development. In most areas of Eugene, the City provides police, fire, road, planning, recreation, and library services to taxpayers.  In contrast, an unincorporated resident in River Road and Santa Clara has multiple providers for the same services and many have surcharges.

Southeast

The Southeast neighborhood basically includes a majority of the South Hills region of Eugene, Oregon. Historically active and politically involved, the Southeast Eugene neighborhood includes more than 5000 households, or roughly 8% of the residents of the City of Eugene. This diverse area includes upscale and low-income housing, schools and businesses. It also includes substantial natural resources, including much of the remaining upland habitat in the City of Eugene.

Trainsong

The Trainsong neighborhood, formerly known as the Bethel Triangle Neighbors, is one of the smallest officially recognized neighborhoods in Eugene, Oregon. Bordered by Maxwell Rd. on the north; Northwest Expressway on the east; Roosevelt Blvd. on the south and US Hwy 99 on the west.

South University

The South University neighborhood in Eugene, Oregon is bounded on the south by 18th Avenue; the west side of Agate Street; the north side at 24th Avenue and on the east by Patterson Street.

West Eugene

This neighborhood is the geographical area between Bethel-Danebo on the north (imagine a line continuing west if Centennial continued, roughly the area just south of Cross Street); Churchill on the south (a zigzag line that includes all of West 11th) and Far West and Whiteaker neighborhood on the east.

West University

This is the area immediately surrounding the University of Oregon campus. Bounded by Franklin Blvd on the north, Fairmount neighborhood on the east, 18th street on the south and Willamette on the west. The area includes many single-family homes and rental properties, such as apartments, condos and residence halls. There are also many businesses many of which are located on 13th Avenue near the University of Oregon.

Whiteaker

This neighborhood contains the Skinner Butte historic area and multiple parks including the Owen Memorial Rose Garden. The area is also within close proximity to the Willamette river path and the historic Market District of Eugene. The boundaries include Chambers St. on the east; the Willamette River on the north; Skinners Butte on the east and 7th street on the south side.
